Often we are asked to rebuild an upright piano that has been in the family for years. With this the piano may be in exceedingly poor condition from being neglected. The Piano Boutique takes pride in returning pianos to like new condition preserving the piano for many years to come.
Completely rebuilding a piano includes new strings and tuning pins. While the strings are off we can make needed repairs to the soundboard and bridges. This assures that the piano will have good tone with no rattles or buzzes when the rebuilding is completed.
When we rebuild an upright piano we can replace the hammers, dampers, wippens, keyboard felt and key bushings. Regulate the action parts to the manufactures original specifications. The piano is also tuned multiple times and voiced to have an even tone.
Finally we refinish the cabinet in your choice of finishes and colors. Finishes can be from a soft satin to a high gloss shine. Everything is repaired or replaced from the casters to the key tops.
Pianos are designed to last from 150 to 250 years. Often we tune pianos that are a hundred years old or more. Rebuilding a piano can add many years to its life for your playing enjoyment. It will also add to the value of the instrument.
